MOSCOW, September 12. Soviet musician and actor Yan Tabachnik died in Israel at the age of 78, journalist Mikhail Masliy reported on Facebook*.
He clarified that this happened on Monday, September 11. According to Masliya, in recent years Tabachnik has been battling lung cancer and was treated in a Tel Aviv hospital.
Ian Tabachnyk was born on July 31, 1945 in Chernivtsi. At the age of 16 he became an artist in the Kyiv Circus orchestra. He worked in the Astrakhan, Kalmyk, Georgian Philharmonic, and the Philharmonic of the Southern Coast of Crimea. He released five giant discs at the Melodiya company. His songs were performed by Joseph Kobzon, Vakhtang Kikabidze, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Valentina Tolkunova and other artists.
