THE HAGUE, September 12 A painting by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, stolen three years ago from the Singer Larin Museum in the Netherlands, has been found, reports RTL Nieuws.
It is reported that the painting in question is Van Gogh's «Spring Garden» or «The Priest's Garden in Nuenen in Spring» from 1884. The masterpiece was stolen from the Singer Larin Museum on March 30, 2020. The painting arrived at this museum for a temporary exhibition from the Groningen Museum.
Art detective Arthur Brand has been searching for work for more than three years in collaboration with the Dutch police.
According to the TV channel, the painting fell into the hands of a criminal organization, but Brand did not disclose who exactly returned the Van Gogh work to him.
The Groningen Museum called the return of the masterpiece «incredibly good news.» This was the only work by Van Gogh in the museum’s collection.
