Let us remind you that Changan himself considers such an SUV to be a new, third generation. Although in fact this is only a rather modest restyling of the “second” model, which has been in service since 2021. By the way, the company considered the slightly redesigned CS75 Plus and Uni-T crossovers to be the next generation.

The CS55 Plus gets a new radiator grille – it is now frameless, like the Uni series models. The bumpers were also replaced, and round exhaust pipes appeared at the rear instead of trapezoidal linings. In addition, the crossover received a new design of wheels (18- or 19-inch). The length has increased by 24 mm to 4539 mm, the remaining dimensions are the same: width – 1865 mm, height – 1680 mm, wheelbase – 2656 mm.

The only significant new thing in the cabin is a touch strip under the central air deflectors; climate control and other functions have been placed on it (the pre-reform SUV has a row of physical keys in this place). Well, the new cup holders on the tunnel were covered with a sliding section.
The restyled Changan CS55 Plus is offered in three trim levels, while its predecessor, which is still in service, has six. The model still includes a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, all-round cameras and adaptive cruise control.

The reforms did not affect the technology: the SUV is equipped with a 1.5 petrol turbo-four with a power of 188 hp. (300 Nm), which is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
After restyling, the Changan CS55 Plus has fallen in price; for such a crossover in China they are asking 99,900 — 113,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 1,325,000 — 1,511,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. The previous SUV costs from 103,900 to 125,900 yuan (about 1,378,000 — 1,670,000 rubles).

Later, the model will have a hybrid version in its homeland, although it will be made under a different brand – Qiyuan.
Changan CS55 Plus only reached Russia at the end of last year, Moreover, we still sell the first generation CS55. According to the price list, a newer SUV today costs from 2,629,900 rubles, the previous generation model will cost at least 2,189,900 rubles (prices are indicated without special offers). It is possible that the updated Plus will be brought to the Russian Federation next year.
