In Kazan, security forces detained a man who detonated an airsoft grenade in the courtyard of a residential building, sources told Kazan Reporter and Business Online.
The publication Podem published a recording from an intercom camera in which the man in a military uniform with a Z patch on his sleeve and with a grenade in his hands, he sits on a bench on Akademika Glushko Street and talks to two children. “Sanyak, let’s blow it up, shall we?” he turns to one of the boys. A woman—probably the child’s mother—who is also sitting on a bench, sternly answers him: “Don’t.”
«Here in the bushes, she is sound and noise< /span>, it will be loud, the alarm may be <…> So, should we throw it or not?” the man continues. The child answers positively, but the woman loudly repeats “No” several more times. After this, the man invites the boy to pull the pin, and then does it himself and throws the ammunition.
When the grenade explodes, the neighbor begins to shout at the man, to which he replies: “Sorry, please, I won’t do it again.” According to the date on the video, the incident occurred on the afternoon of September 14th. According to Podem, the man who threw the grenade had returned from the war in Ukraine four days earlier. It is not specified whether any case has been filed against him.
