VORONEZH, September 16 A traffic police officer shot two men who were driving in Kursk, presumably drunk, and after stopping the car they threatened the traffic police crew with firearms, a source said in law enforcement agencies.
“»The man, driving a vehicle, presumably in a state of alcoholic intoxication, violating traffic rules, did not respond to the legal demand of the traffic police crew to stop. The traffic police officers began to chase the violator. After stopping, he and the passenger behaved aggressively, a fight broke out,» the source said.
According to the source, during the scuffle, one of the offenders took a firearm he had and threatened the traffic police crew with it. In response, the traffic police officer fired a warning shot, but the offender did not react to this.
«»After he (the violator — ed.) pulled the shutter, the traffic police officer shot and wounded the violator in the leg. His accomplice took the firearm he had, after which the traffic police crew opened fire on his accomplice. Young people were blocked, their weapons were confiscated, and the men were hospitalized,» the source explained.
