ROME, September 16 A five-year-old girl in a car died in a the crash of a Frecce Tricolore aerobatic team plane at a military base near Turin, writes the newspaper la Repubblica.
The incident occurred during a training flight before Sunday's air show. As specified, the plane crashed while landing. As it fell off the runway, it hit a car containing a family of four. A five-year-old girl died on the spot from burns, and her nine-year-old brother was injured. He and his parents were hospitalized in serious condition.
It is noted that the pilot of the aircraft was also taken to the hospital.
Italian media distributed a video of the crash. It shows the pilot ejecting from the plane, opening his parachute at a low altitude.
After the disaster, the organizers of the air show dedicated to the centenary of the Frecce Tricolore canceled the event.
