Gas volume in European gas storage capacity has dropped from its previous record high level. The indicator dropped to third place, lower than the level of 2011 and 2019.
This is due to a reduction in injection volumes against the backdrop of increasing withdrawal: since the second ten days of September, net injection (minus increasing withdrawal) has been at a near-zero level.
In Europe, they have repeatedly stated their intention to find an alternative gas supplier to Russia, but so far the EU countries have not found a source that would allow them to receive gas on a permanent basis.
At the same time, the Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean stated that his country is provided with sufficient energy resources for the winter and has “never been as well prepared for the winter period as it is now.”
