MOSCOW, September 18 Moscow mayoral elections showed widespread support for Mayor Sergei Sobyanin by Muscovites, their approval of his results, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at Sobyanin’s inauguration.
Elections for the mayor of the Russian capital were held from September 8 to 10. According to the final results, Sobyanin received 76.39% of the votes, 2,499,114 people voted for him. The final turnout in the elections was 42.5%. Last Tuesday, the Moscow City Election Commission recognized the elections as valid and valid.
«Dear Sergei Semenovich! I am pleased to personally congratulate you on taking office as mayor of Moscow. At the last elections, more than 75% of voters voted for you.
