National Bolshevik Ramazan Suleymanov, who fought in Ukraine, was fined 20 thousand rubles under the protocol on “discrediting” the army

The Nizhny Novgorod District Court of Nizhny Novgorod fined National Bolshevik Ramazan Suleymanov, who returned from the war, 20 thousand rubles under the article on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). This was reported by the city publication NewsNN.

As journalists noted, the reason for the protocol was Suleymanov’s participation in a rally in support of the arrested former “Minister of Defense of the DPR” Igor Strelkov (Girkin). In particular, security officials claim that on July 29, the National Bolshevik hung a poster on the St. George Tower of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin with the inscription “Freedom for Strelkov!”, reports the telegram channel “Other Nizhny Z.”

In July 2021, Suleymanov was sentenced to one a year of compulsory labor with the transfer of 15% of income to the state in the case of insulting the judge of the Nizhny Novgorod District Court Mikhail Antonov (Part 2 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code). The reason for the case was the banner “Judge Antonov is a servant of assholes,” hung outside the courthouse.

Instead of executing the sentence, the National Bolshevik went as a volunteer to the war in Ukraine. Subsequently, the Federal Penitentiary Service demanded that Suleymanov’s sentence be changed to a real term, and the court sentenced him to three months in a penal colony. Later, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court overturned the punishment.
