UN, Sep 21 Bangladesh supports the restoration of the grain deal and access of import-dependent countries to sufficient quantities of grain, an adviser to the prime minister said in an interview. in charge of Energy and Mineral Resources, Taufiq Chowdhury.
“I think so,” he said on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York when asked whether the grain deal should be reinstated.
Chowdhury noted that the termination of the deal leads to an increase in prices for grains and fertilizers, and Bangladesh is interested in the stability of the cost of these goods in the interests of its population.
«For all countries that are partially or completely dependent on imports… there should be enough grain,» he added.
