VELIKY NOVGOROD, September 21 Sanctions are slowing down Russia in some way, but at the same time stimulating development, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“These restrictions, both after 2014 and now, that are imposed on us from the outside, stimulate development. Yes, in some places they slow us down, in others they force previously made decisions to be postponed, as we say, according to schedule to the right, at a later date, but nevertheless, new competencies appear, new opportunities appear,” he said at an extended meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation.
Putin emphasized that “it will be impossible to do anything without well-trained personnel.”
«For us, all this is superimposed on another problem — a problem of a demographic nature. You all know this well. But here, too, there are ways out that we will not be able to solve effectively if we do not use modern means of production, modern technologies. If we use them, then we may not need such a quantity of labor. That is, it cannot be, but certainly will not be required,» the head of state noted.
Putin added that all this “is tied into such a Gordian knot that it is not necessary to cut it, we can untie it quite effectively and gracefully.”
“We need to pay constant attention to this topic, the topic of personnel training,” the president concluded.
