MOSCOW, September 23 Olympic champion of the Tokyo Games gymnast Nikita Nagorny, answering a question about sanctions from Canada, called on all politicians and outsiders to leave sports and those who believe in sports unity alone.
Nagorny was included in the list of 42 people, sanctions against whom came into force on September 20. The gymnast attached one of the comments of a Canadian fan to the statement on his Telegram channel, who wrote that “the whole world is waiting for Nagorny at the Olympics in Paris.”

Nagorny is 26 years old, he won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in the team tournament. He also won a silver and two bronze medals at the Games. The gymnast is a three-time world champion. Nagorny is the head of the main headquarters of the All-Russian children's and youth movement «Youth Army».
