NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 24 Sixteen people were injured in a fatal accident with a passenger Gazelle in the Nizhny Novgorod region, three of them are in serious condition, reports the regional Ministry of Health.
Earlier, the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that on Sunday at about 9.40 on the M-7 highway near the village of Sheloksha, Kstovsky district, an accident occurred between a truck and a Gazelle minibus. Three people died.
«As a result of an accident near the village of Sheloksha, according to preliminary data, 16 people were injured. Three of them are in serious condition; 12 people (including 1 child) — moderate severity; 1 — mild severity, refusal to hospitalization,» the Nizhny Novgorod Region Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Teams from regional disaster medicine and emergency medical care from the Kstovo Central District Hospital quickly arrived at the scene. Twelve victims (including three in serious condition) are evacuated to the regional clinical hospital, the injured child is taken to the regional children's hospital, and three more victims are taken to the central regional hospital.
It is noted that the regional Ministry of Health works in collaboration with the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine. “Federal specialists are connected to conduct telemedicine consultations. If necessary, they are also ready to assist in the treatment of victims,” the message emphasizes.
