In the Telegram channel of the Chairman of the Chechen Parliament, Magomed Daudov, a post appeared with indignation over a history textbook for the 10th grade, written by Vladimir Medinsky.
Meduza notes: initially, Daudov’s publication contained a paragraph saying which stated that the textbook's circulation in Chechnya had been confiscated, but later the words about this were deleted. “According to the Tgstat.ru service, the entry in its original form was reposted, in particular, by the Minister of Information of Chechnya, Akhmed Dudayev, but also deleted the post,” the publication writes.
Daudov notes that he is working on the textbook on behalf of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. Probably, he, like representatives of the Russian Congress of the Peoples of the Caucasus, was dissatisfied with the phrase from the paragraph dedicated to the rear of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War.
“Based on cooperation with the occupiers of the Karachais, Kalmyks, Chechens, Ingush, Balkars, Crimean Tatars, GKO in 1943-1944. decided to liquidate the state formations of these peoples within the USSR and subject them to collective punishment — forcible relocation (deportation) to the eastern regions of the country,” the textbook said. According to Daudov, Medinsky agreed to “put in order” the chapter on deportation.

According to journalist Mikhail Zygar, Medinsky also writes historical articles, which are then published on behalf of President Vladimir Putin.
