Former head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin became a senator in the Federation Council from the occupied Zaporozhye region. The publication “Notebook” writes about this; the official himself posted a media publication on his Telegram channel.
“It is an honor for me to defend the interests of the Zaporozhye region and Novorossia as a whole,” Rogozin commented on the “Notepad” news about his appointment .
In mid-September, Vedomosti and Kommersant reported on the possible appointment of Rogozin to the post of senator. In particular, Vedomosti’s source from the presidential administration claimed that the ex-head of Roscosmos is a “notable figure”, he could soon take a seat in the Federation Council, and then “grow up.” The material stated that Rogozin “demonstrated a desire to work in new regions.”
Rogozin served as head of Roscosmos from 2018 to 2022; on July 15, 2022, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on his dismissal. In December of the same year, Rogozin said that he went to war in Ukraine and was later wounded during the shelling of the Shesh-Besh restaurant and hotel complex in Donetsk. The Baza Telegram channel wrote that the former head of Roscosmos received a shrapnel wound to the soft tissues of the head, a penetrating shrapnel wound to the buttocks and thigh.
Rogozin now heads the Tsar’s Wolves volunteer unit, which, according to him, “ provides military-technical support to the troops of the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR.
