MOSCOW, September 21 The VI International Music Festival of Ildar Abdrazakov will be held with the support of VTB in six cities of Russia, the bank reports.
The festival will open with a gala concert with the participation of Ildar Abdrazakov on September 25 on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater. Arias and duets from operas by Russian and foreign composers will be performed. Spectators will see performances by the famous Mexican tenor Ramon Vargas, opera soloists and the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev.
On the eve of the festive concert, on September 20 and 21, master classes will be held at the Elena Obraztsova International Academy of Music by the artistic director of the festival, Ildar Abdrazakov, and the Georgian pianist Mzia Bakhturidze.
On the concert tour, Abdrazakov will be joined by world-famous artists and bright participants in his master classes over the years. The festival will continue with performances at the Arkhangelsk Drama Theater named after M.V. Lomonosov, the Murmansk Regional Philharmonic, the Musical Theater of the Republic of Karelia in Petrozavodsk and the Samara State Philharmonic, and will end in the Great Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev in Kazan, the homeland of Fyodor Chaliapin, whose 150th anniversary the festival is dedicated to this year.
