IRKUTSK, September 24 Airliner departure from Irkutsk in Phuket, Thailand, was detained due to a technical malfunction, reports the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
The agency stated that it monitors compliance with the rights of passengers in connection with the delay in the departure of tourists from Irkutsk to Thailand.
“At the Irkutsk airport on September 24, 2023, due to a technical malfunction, the departure of the Ikar airline flight on the Irkutsk-Phuket route was delayed,” the message says.
On social networks, passengers of the delayed flight share video from a crowded airport hall and complain about the conditions in which they have to wait 20 hours for a flight.
According to preliminary information, the flight has been postponed until 03.00 local time on September 25 (23.00 Moscow time on September 24).
