MOSCOW, September 25 The first prototype of the unmanned armored car «Zubilo» is planned to be submitted for testing Russian army in the spring of 2024, an informed source said.
This vehicle was first presented in August at the Army-2023 military-technical forum.
“After the end of the weapons show in Kubinka, the unmanned platform Zubilo returned to the enterprise, where it is now being finalized. First of all, we are talking about the electronic filling that allows the vehicle to operate autonomously. By the end of the year, its modification should be completed, after which, approximately, in the spring of 2024, “Zibilo” will be transferred for testing to the Russian Armed Forces,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The unmanned armored platform “Zibilo” on a serial KamAZ chassis is designed to support assault groups, transport ammunition, transporting cargo and the wounded, as well as recharging radio stations and quadcopters.
As the developer of this machine, chief designer of Remdizel JSC (Naberezhnye Chelny) Igor Zarakhovich, said, in the future “Zibilo” can be mass produced to minimize participation man in battles in dangerous sectors of the front.
As the designer noted, mass production of the “Zubil” can be quickly established due to the fact that the machine is assembled from available serial components.
