MOSCOW, September 25 Chamber Council at a meeting on Monday proposed to elect the chairman of the social committee of the Federation Council, Inna Svyatenko, as vice-speaker of the Federation Council, this issue will be considered at the plenary meeting of the chamber also on Monday, said the head of the rules committee Vyacheslav Timchenko.
“The Chamber Council proposed the candidacy of Inna Svyatenko for the post of vice-speaker of the Federation Council,” he said.
According to Timchenko, this issue will be considered at the plenary meeting of the Federation Council, which will begin at noon.
Previously, the post of vice-speaker of the Federation Council in charge of the social sphere was held by Galina Karelova. According to Timchenko, she plans to move to the regional policy committee, where she may take the post of first deputy chairman.
The post of chairman of the social policy committee, instead of Svyatenko, was proposed to be taken by the first deputy head of the budget committee of the Federation Council, Elena Perminova, Timchenko said.
According to him, this issue is also planned to be considered at the plenary meeting on Monday.
