SIMFEROPOL, September 27 A resident of Krasnodar, who tried to go over to the enemy’s side, was detained and placed in custody in Crimea, a case of treason has been opened, reports the press service of the Crimean Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
“»The detainee was charged with preparing to commit high treason in the form of going over to the enemy's side (Part 1 of Article 30, Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),» the report says.
According to the department, a 22-year-old resident of Krasnodar decided to leave Russia for the territory of Ukraine to participate in hostilities on the enemy’s side.
“»The man arrived in Armyansk, from where he attempted to enter the territory of Ukraine through the administrative border of the Republic of Crimea and the Kherson region, bypassing the established checkpoints, after which he was detained,» the department emphasized.
The man was arrested for two months.
