The Thai division of Hyundai has launched a “farewell” version of the frame MPV. The model is offered with the same diesel engine.
Two years ago, Hyundai introduced the Staria family — a “passenger” van and minivan with a “space” design. On the world market, these cars have replaced the frame model Hyundai H-1 (aka Starex or Grand Starex) from the brand’s range. But in Thailand, the previous MPV was delayed, although recently it was available there in the only Elite NS trim level. Now the Thai branch is also saying goodbye to the H-1, and “their” van before retirement received a special version called Elite FE: the last two letters stand for Final Edition.

The “final” version was distinguished by an expanded list of equipment: the multimedia system was returned to the minivan (the Elite NS version had a radio), while the Hyundai H-1 was equipped with a rather large touchscreen – 9 inches diagonal. As before, the model’s arsenal also includes LED running lights, 16-inch wheels, climate control, rear parking sensors, stabilization system and cruise control. In Thailand, the Hyundai H-1 now comes exclusively with an 11-seater cabin.

The reforms did not affect the technology: the minivan is equipped with a 2.5 diesel engine with a power of 175 hp. (441 Nm), which is combined with a five-speed automatic transmission. The drive is only rear-wheel drive (in other countries the model had all-wheel drive versions).
It was announced that the “farewell” configuration will be produced in a limited edition, but exactly how many of these cars will be made is not specified. In our money terms, the Hyundai H-1 Elite FE will cost approximately 4 million rubles. By the way, the “space” Staria is also present in Thailand; the price of this van there starts at 4,808,000 rubles.
