
ST. PETERSBURG, September 24 . The body, presumably of the director of the Bolshoi Drama Theater (BDT) named after Tovstonogov in St. Petersburg, Alexander Nikanorov, who had not been in touch since September 21, was found in the city of Toksovo, Leningrad Region, a source in law enforcement agencies said.
Earlier on Sunday, the BDT reported that that Nikanorov stopped communicating since Thursday. He left the house on a bicycle without taking his phone or documents with him. He was last seen getting off the train at the station in Toksovo on the afternoon of September 21. According to the BDT, the search for Nikanorov was carried out by the police and the «Lisa Alert» search and rescue team with the information assistance of relatives, colleagues and friends.
«At 16.11, an unidentified corpse… of a man was found in the Toksovo forest belt. The corpse was sent to the morgue, the identity of the deceased is being established «According to preliminary information, the deceased may be the missing director Alexander Nikanorov,» said the agency's interlocutor.
The regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not yet have an official comment on the search for the missing director.

In 2013, Alexander Nikanorov graduated with honors from the workshop of Anatoly Praudin of St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts, specializing in «drama directing» and » acting skills.» He studied for a master's degree at the New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater under the direction of Valery Fokin and Andrei Moguchy.
