MOSCOW, September 25 A student from Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitat der Stadt Wien will be one of six students master course by Russian violinist Vadim Repin, which he will conduct in Moscow as part of the Youth Educational Program of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. The press service of the show reported this on Monday.
In total, several dozen applications were sent to participate in the master course from graduates of special music schools, higher music educational institutions and young professionals aged 17 to 27 years.
“
"Based on the sent video materials, Vadim Repin selected six to participate in the five-day master course: four students of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky, a student from the school at the Moscow Conservatory and a student from the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitat der Stadt Wien,” said the organizers.
The master course starts on September 26 and will include four to five daily lessons. On October 1, its participants will give a final concert in the hall of the Russian Cultural Foundation.
As explained in the press service, master courses have been included in the educational program of the Trans-Siberian Art Festival since 2018. During this time, Mikhail Voskresensky, Natalia Trull, Konstantin Lifshits, Polina Osetinskaya, Victor Tretyakov and many others worked with young musicians.
“To be considered a student of a master, one master class is not enough,” the press service quoted Repin as saying. “And in order to change something in the technique, the views of a young performer, we are introducing a series of master courses, and here you can see a big difference before and after. This is very serious work for a student and responsibility for a teacher, so I am happy and excited because I myself will be working in this format for the first time.»
The Trans-Siberian Art Festival was founded by Vadim Repin. The name of the Trans-Siberian Railway, which formed the basis for the name of the festival, reflects not only the idea of connecting the cultures of East and West, but also uniting Russian cities into a single creative highway: Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Tyumen, Tobolsk, Tomsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow, as well as abroad. Every year, the show program includes performances by famous musicians and premieres of works by contemporary composers.
