The SME Corporation is developing a project to launch a network of “islands” with fashionable clothes in shopping centers, where Russian regional brands will be presented. As the Izvestia newspaper reports, this format provides for the unification of several manufacturers in one territory.
General Director of the SME Corporation, Alexander Isaevich, noted that young designers and manufacturers will be provided with a ready-made solution for selling their products on a turnkey basis «. This approach will allow them to attract the attention of a wide audience at the regional and federal levels, as well as receive comprehensive support for their development in the fashion market. The selection of local brands to participate in the project will be carried out by the SME Corporation together with the regions.
According to Isaevich, the project is already being discussed with the regions and domestic brands. He noted that the demand for products of Russian brands has increased after the departure of foreign companies, which makes the launch of this format relevant. Isaevich proposed the following concept for the project: a modern space will be created on the basis of a well-known brand, where local companies will be able to sell their goods on preferential terms.
The ideological inspirer of the project, the head of the Ivanovo Textile Company, Yuri Shilov, said that the network could be launched as early as this year. According to Izvestia, platforms for selling products of Russian designers will be located in shopping centers in 10 million-plus cities and will range from 2 to 2.5 thousand square meters. m.
