MOSCOW, September 28 The head of Opora Russia, Alexander Kalinin, proposed increasing import duties on beer, similar to wine, in order to support domestic producers.
«For example, we raised duties on wine, but not on beer. I am for domestic brewers to develop,» Kalinin said, speaking at the Mosfinforum.
«For a number of positions that are not critical, import duties can be raised in relation to unfriendly countries?» — he said.
In addition, he criticized the tightening of licensing for the sale of alcohol. “As a result, illegal alcohol has flowed into telegram channels. That is, we have squeezed out small legal businesses in favor of networks — now the illegal trade in alcohol is thriving,” said the head of Opora Rossii.
A similar situation, according to Kalinin, is developing in the tobacco market.
In his opinion, in increasing import duties and in whitewashing the market for excisable goods, there are reserves for budget revenues of the Russian Federation.
