The FSB reported on the detention in Sevastopol of a man suspected of collaborating with Ukrainian military intelligence. TASS reports this.
A criminal case was opened against him for high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol took the man into custody.
The security forces claim that the suspect, “evading mobilization,” left for an unnamed CIS country in 2022. There, according to the FSB, the man “appealed to a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and was recruited.” Returning to Crimea, the man got a job in a company that builds fortifications on the peninsula.
In a video published by government agencies, the suspect with a blurred eye confirms the version of the security forces. He says that he got a job “digging trenches” in the north of Crimea on the instructions of his acquaintance from Ukrainian intelligence in order to transfer him information and photographs.
The day before, on September 27, the FSB department for Crimea and Sevastopol reported on the arrest of a Krasnodar man, suspected of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he wanted to participate in the war on the side of the Ukrainian army and tried to leave for the part of the Kherson region controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
