MOSCOW, September 27 Moscow calls not to react In response to extremist statements about relations between Russia and Armenia, the Armenian people know that Russian help has always come, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a briefing.
“You shouldn’t pay attention to those who are now making extremist statements of various kinds, who are questioning our (Russian-Armenian — ed.) relations, this will all pass,” Zakharova said.
According to her, colossal resources have been allocated to information processing of the media space in Armenia. Employees of the US Embassy in Yerevan are involved in this activity, while the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that the people of Armenia, after the trials that befell them, are able to distinguish friends from enemies.
«The people of Armenia know that help in various types and formats has always come from Russia. Whether on the territory of Russia, which received a huge number of people from Armenia at different historical moments. Either they were our peacekeepers, or it was our humanitarian assistance, or it was our economic support, it was different. The people of Armenia know this and remember,» Zakharova concluded.
Earlier, Zakharova noted that Russia has always “been careful about allied relations with Armenia, has never been the initiator of their aggravations, and has done everything possible to support the people of Armenia in the most difficult situations.”
