MOSCOW, September 28 The prosecutor's office and the ombudsman began inspections after a three-year-old child left kindergarten in the city of Orel and was hit by a truck.

According to the supervisory authority, the child was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving the necessary medical care.
«Inspection materials regarding violations of the requirements of the legislation regulating the organization of childcare during their stay in a preschool institution, in accordance with clause 2, part 2, article 37 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, were sent to the investigative authorities for a criminal legal assessment of the actions ( inaction) of persons responsible for the safety of children in kindergarten,” adds the prosecutor’s office.
According to the children's ombudsman of the Oryol region, Konstantin Domogatsky, the commissioner's office joined in determining the causes of the incident. “Unfortunately, today in the city of Oryol a three-year-old child fell under the wheels of a vehicle. According to preliminary data from law enforcement agencies, the child should have been in kindergarten at that time. The child is currently hospitalized. The Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Oryol Region will carry out an appropriate check to determine the reasons that contributed to the tragedy that happened,” Domogatsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
The SUSK in the region later reported that they had also organized a pre-investigation check into the negligence of the kindergarten employees, the investigation intends to give a legal assessment of the “actions officials of the preschool institution where the child was supposed to be.»
