VLADIVOSTOK, September 29 Head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako stated that for his new term as governor, he puts the development of transport, engineering and social infrastructure in the region as his top priorities.
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke via video link with the regional heads elected in the last elections. He congratulated them on their victory and called the result worthy. The governor of Primorye also took part in the meeting. Kozhemyako noted that the congratulations of the Russian President on his election is a high assessment for the entire team of the regional government.
«According to Oleg Kozhemyako, the development of transport, engineering, and social infrastructure, which will help improve the quality of life of Primorye residents and improve our native land, is a priority today,» the regional government reports.
The governor noted that the instructions received from Putin are “new steps to implement all those ideas that are needed for the region.” The authorities of Primorye will rely on the support of the federal center in implementing the assigned tasks, the head of the region noted.
Kozhemyako also added that he and the regional government will continue to work to support the families of military personnel located in the zone of a special military operation and fallen soldiers.
In Primorye, voting in the gubernatorial elections took place on September 8-10; voter turnout, according to updated data from the election commission, was 45.58%. The current head of the region, Oleg Kozhemyako, received 72.78% of the votes. He was recognized as the elected governor at a meeting of the regional election commission on September 12.
