Putin declared a national holiday the day when documents were signed on the annexation of the occupied regions of Ukraine to Russia

Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which September 30 will become a public holiday — “The Day of Reunification of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye Region and Kherson Region.” The corresponding document was published on the official portal of legal acts.

On this day a year ago, the president signed agreements on the accession of the self-proclaimed LPR and DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Ukraine to the territory of Russia. This happened after “referendums” were held in the occupied regions on their annexation to Russia. State media then published the results: in the LPR, 98.42% of voters were in favor of joining, in the DPR — 99.23%, in the Zaporozhye region — 93.11%, in the Kherson region — 87.05%.

Tomorrow, September 29, a concert will be held on Red Square in Moscow to mark the first anniversary of the signing of the documents. On the event poster published in the Mega Volunteer Moscow public page it is written: “Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Kherson — Russia!” At the same time, neither Zaporozhye nor Kherson are controlled by the Russian military.

Meduza noted that the slogan of the festive events organized throughout the country is as follows: “One country, one family, one Russia.”< /p>
