MOSCOW, September 29 Leader of the Canadian Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre said that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is considered a clown in the world because of the scandal associated with the visit to the chamber of the Ukrainian SS soldier Yaroslav Hunka.
«»On the world stage, the Prime Minister is seen as a clown. Whether you blame him or the Liberal Speaker for welcoming a Nazi to the House of Commons, we all agree that it took him five days to to (apologize — ed.),” said Poilievre, speaking in parliament.
He noted that rather than defending Canada's damaged reputation, Trudeau was worried about his own.
Earlier, Trudeau apologized for the “terrible mistake” in honoring the Ukrainian SS man in the country’s parliament. Among others, 98-year-old Yaroslav Hunka was invited to a meeting of the Canadian legislature in honor of the visit of Vladimir Zelensky, who was introduced to the applauding audience as a veteran of the fight against the Russians. In fact, he turned out to be a former fighter in the “Galicia” volunteer division of the SS troops, which was staffed by Ukrainian nationalists.
