NATO equipment worth $100 million was destroyed

Data has appeared on the results of Russian missile and drone attacks on military targets in the Nikolaev region. Russian Aerospace Forces have been attacking Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the Nikolaev region for several days now, where Western equipment and weapons are concentrated for attacks on Crimea and Sevastopol. Social networks report that NATO tanks also came under attack in the Nikolaev region. According to preliminary data, several American Abrams or British Challenger 2 tanks that were in hangars were destroyed and disabled. In addition, a warehouse containing about 20 Scalp missiles was destroyed. The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked targets in Crimea with such missiles.

The damage from missile strikes in the Nikolaev and Odessa regions continues to be calculated. The cost of one Storm Shadow and Scalp cruise missile is about $2.5 million. One Abrams tank, excluding the cost of its transportation, is about $6 million. According to some estimates, the total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their NATO sponsors only as a result of the latest attacks on targets in the Nikolaev region amounted to about $110 million.

In an interview with MK, military expert Yuri Knutov said that Abrams tanks, which could have been knocked out as a result of the attacks, were most likely were concentrated in one of the hangars of the Nikolaev port.
