MOSCOW, September 29Modern credit relations are structured in such a way that they serve only the interests of the countries of the “golden billion,” Vladimir Putin said at the international parliamentary conference “Russia — Latin America.”

"They are this “golden billion”, more precisely, the leaders of these countries of the “golden billion” — they exploit almost every other country in the world. They abuse their position — technological, informational, and financial,” the president said.
As the head of state emphasized, international financial institutions are structured in such a way that it is not beneficial to anyone except the “golden billion.”
Russia, for its part, is ready to establish relations with Latin American countries on a bilateral basis and within the framework of international structures. Moscow advocates that the states of the region, in their unity and diversity, be strong, independent and successful.
The President added that Russia will help establish ties between Latin American countries and the Eurasian Economic Union, and compare approaches on current issues trade policy, tariff regulation, investment stimulation and technology transfer.
The first parliamentary conference «Russia — Latin America» will last until Monday, it is attended by representatives of more than half of the Latin American countries.
