
BUENOS AIRES, September 29 First parliamentary conference «RF — Latin America is important for strengthening ties between countries, said international analyst from Argentina Christian Lamesa.
“I believe that the parliamentary conference is indeed very valuable and important for the Latin American and Caribbean region, this importance lies in strengthening ties between this region and Russia, a region that historically has always received selfless support and assistance from the Russian Federation before from the Soviet Union,” he said.
The parliamentary conference «Russia — Latin America» begins its work on Friday in Moscow and will last until Monday; representatives of more than half of the Latin American countries are expected to participate in it.
As reported on the State Duma website, more than 200 participants are expected to attend the conference, including parliamentarians from Latin America and the Caribbean, representatives of the expert community, public figures and diplomats.
The conference will include round tables on topics to discuss equal and mutually beneficial economic cooperation and the role of parliaments, the development of humanitarian ties between Russia and Latin America and the contribution of parliaments, a fair multipolar world and the role of parliamentary diplomacy, as well as security for all and the position parliaments in this matter.
