TULA, September 29 Russia is always open to increasing military-technical cooperation with the CIS countries, said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
“Issues of military-technical cooperation are constantly in the focus of attention of the Council of Defense Ministers and bilateral contacts. In this regard, I would like to emphasize that the Russian Federation is always open to deepening cooperation in this area,” Shoigu said, opening the council meeting in Tula .
He called it symbolic that joint work with colleagues began with a visit to the Tula defense enterprise and acquaintance with Russian military products.
Welcoming the participants of the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Defense, Shoigu noted that “it is being held in the “Hall of Fame of Russian Weapons” of the famous museum of Tula gunsmiths.”
Earlier on Friday, the heads of delegations visited JSC Instrument Design Bureau named after Academician A.G. Shipunov.
