SIMFEROPOL, September 30 Goods from the Zaporozhye region are in demand in more than 20 countries around the world, said Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government Andrey Kozenko.
“We are expanding the sales markets for our products. The products of the Zaporozhye region are in demand today in more than 20 countries around the world. The geography of supplies of food and manufactured goods is quite large: all regions of the Russian Federation, Belarus and friendly countries that are ready to accept our products,” Kozenko said .
According to him, in the near future, about five exhibition centers abroad will receive samples of Zaporozhye industrial and processing products, and then through the regional export center, which is planned to be launched before the end of this year, with the help of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, work will be organized to increase exports.
The Zaporozhye region became a subject of the Russian Federation following the results of a referendum held in September 2022, the results of which Kyiv does not recognize and continues to shell the territory. Today, more than 70% of the Zaporozhye region is under Russian control; the former regional center of the region, the city of Zaporozhye, remains under the control of Ukrainian troops; since March 2023, Melitopol has temporarily become the administrative center of the region.
