MOSCOW, September 29 Citizens of Ukraine can enter Russia without visas on an internal passport with an expired validity period, the corresponding document was signed by Vladimir Putin, it was published on the portal of legal acts.
«Citizens of Ukraine enter into the Russian Federation and exit from the Russian Federation without issuing visas on the basis of the following documents: a) passport of a citizen of Ukraine; b) a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad; c) a diplomatic passport,» says the presidential decree.
The list also includes a service passport, a birth certificate for children under 16 years of age; passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad of the legal representative of a minor; seafarer's identity card; ID card for returning to Ukraine; certificate of an aircraft crew member.
It is noted that citizens of Ukraine can enter Russia, including on the basis of expired documents.
If there are none of the listed documents, then leave Russia possible by land to neighboring countries on the basis of a copy of the conclusion on establishing the identity of a foreign citizen, which can be obtained from the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The decree came into force on the day of signing.
