MOSCOW, October 2 Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova jokingly commented on the statement of the German Foreign Minister in the Telegram channel Annalena Burbock about the expansion of the European Union.

“Either we are joining the EU, or she forgot to add about the need to turn 360 degrees,” she wrote, hinting at the German diplomat’s statement that Moscow could turn “360 degrees.” ; and make the whole world happy.
On Monday, Baerbock said at a retreat of foreign ministers that “the future of Ukraine lies in the EU, in our community of freedom,” which “will soon stretch from Lisbon to Lugansk.”
In the early 2010s, the Russian authorities proposed that the European Union return to the idea of creating an integration space of “Greater Europe” from Lisbon to Vladivostok.
Lugansk, as the capital of the LPR, became part of Russia along with the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions at the end of September last year based on the results of referendums held in new regions.
