In Barnaul, a participant in poetry readings in support of those involved in the Mayakovsky case, Artem Sakharov, was fined 75 thousand rubles, RusNews reports.
The decision on the fine was made by the city's Central District Court. Sakharov was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of participation in public events (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Probably, he was given a sentence below the lowest limit, since part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for fines from 150 to 300 thousand rubles.
Employees of Center “E” detained the activist on October 1, shortly after the end of the “Pushkin Readings” event. Poetry for Peace» in support of the poets of the «Mayakovsky affair». Sakharov, who opened the readings, was taken to the Central police department and left there overnight.
The defendants in the Mayakovsky case, in whose support Sakharov spoke, are named Artem Kamardin, Yegor Shtovba and Nikolai Daineko. They are accused of humiliating the human dignity of a social group (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code) and calls for anti-state activities (Part 3 of Article 280.4 of the Criminal Code).
Daineko, who entered into a pre-trial agreement, was sentenced to four years in a general regime colony in May. The case of Kamardin and Shtovba is now being considered in the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow.
The investigation believes that on September 25, 2022, Artem Kamardin read the verse “Kill me, militia!” The work, according to security officials, contained “linguistic signs of humiliation of the dignity of the militias who took part in hostilities in the LPR and DPR.” Daineko and Shtovba “repeated Kamardin’s work out loud and raised their hands up.”
The reason for the case of calls for anti-state activity was a post in the Mayakov Readings telegram channel announcing the event on September 25, in which it was also published information about the need to “resist” partial mobilization: do not pick up summonses and do not go to military registration and enlistment offices.
