REN TV channel with reference to the press The service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the RF IC for the city of Moscow reports that a resident of the Russian capital severely beat the one-year-old son of his beloved.
According to the department, the incident occurred in one of the apartments in a building on Novokurkinskoye Highway, where law enforcement officers were a beaten child was found. It subsequently became known that the baby had been beaten repeatedly. Preliminary data indicate that the child’s tormentor was his mother’s partner.
The Investigative Directorate indicated that the man was detained on suspicion of committing the crime in question; he was taken to a department of the capital’s Investigative Committee, where investigators began interrogating him. It is noted that the child and his mother were taken to one of the Moscow hospitals, where doctors are providing proper care to the baby. The department clarified that the life and health of the injured boy is not currently in danger.
A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation («Torture»). Other circumstances of the incident are being established.
