He recalled that in December 2022, “road maps” were approved for the development of the international transport corridor “North-South”, the Azov-Black Sea and eastern directions. The Prime Minister noted that recently the Krasnodar and Rostov-on-Don bypasses have been built, traffic in the direction of the Verkhniy Lars checkpoint has been expanded, dredging work has been completed in the seaport of Makhachkala, the reconstruction of the Anapa bypass has been completed, and in December this year the deepening of the Volga-Caspian Sea will be completed shipping canal.

In addition, the total carrying capacity of the Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian Railways is expected to increase to 173 million tons by the end of 2023. — according to the goal set by the president, in 2024 this figure should reach 180 million tons, the prime minister recalled.
