MOSCOW, October 3. Slovak opera singer Patricia Janečkova died at the age of 25, Novinky.cz reported.
The artist died on Monday, as the publication notes, at the beginning of last year doctors diagnosed her with breast cancer.
Janečkova was born in 1998 in Germany into a Slovak family and lived most of her life in the Czech city of Ostrava. She has been singing since childhood and graduated from the Academy of Music named after the Czech composer Leoš Janáček.
In 2010, the artist won the Talentmania talent show, and in 2014 she became the youngest participant to win a prize at the International Sacred Music Competition in Rome .
As Novinky notes, Yanechkova did not hide her illness; after the diagnosis, she stopped performing for a while. This year she married actor Vlastimil Burda.
