MOSCOW, September 30 The “Richter Meetings” literary and music festival will help preserve and develop the traditions of national culture and introduce the younger generation to the historical and spiritual heritage of the country, says Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The President's greeting to the participants, organizers and guests of the VIII Great Literary and Music Festival «Richter Meetings» was published on Saturday on the Kremlin website.
““I am convinced that the forum will arouse the interested attention of the public, will contribute to the preservation and development of the great traditions of national culture, and familiarize the younger generation with our priceless historical and spiritual heritage,” Putin noted in his address.
He recalled that this large-scale creative project first announced itself in the centenary year of the outstanding Russian pianist, maestro Svyatoslav Richter.
«And today he continues to unite numerous art lovers and connoisseurs with his noble ideas. They are invariably awaited by a rich, eventful program — concerts and exhibitions, meetings with famous artists and aspiring performers, scientific conferences and other equally significant events,” the president added.
