MOSCOW, Oct 3 —. The United States will conduct a test of public warning systems on October 4, the same day as Russia, writes Newsweek.
The United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said the test will begin around 2 p.m. Eastern time . As part of the event, emergency warning systems for televisions, radios and telephones will be tested.
The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations stated that a similar test will take place in all regions of the country on October 4. The planned activities will make it possible to objectively assess the performance of the warning systems, as well as the readiness of the duty personnel authorized to launch the systems.
