The owner of Aperol, Campari Group, filed a lawsuit in court demanding that a Russian distributor be prohibited from importing and selling alcoholic beverages under its brand. According to Kommersant, the statement came from the division of Davide Campari-Milano N.V. to the Arbitration Court of the Rostov Region demanding a ban against the local company Master-Trade.
According to the court file, the hearing is scheduled for October 30.
Campari also stated that consent to did not supply Aperol and that this brand is not allowed for parallel imports. However, the court refused to take interim measures in the form of a ban on the release of goods — Kommersant writes that Campari was asked to confirm the violated right.
