FAS filed several cases against gas station representatives due to fuel prices

MOSCOW, October 4 The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has opened several cases against representatives of independent gas stations due to inflated fuel prices, according to the government website.< br />“Based on the results of an inspection of the activities of oil companies and independent gas stations, the Federal Antimonopoly Service initiated several antimonopoly cases against representatives of independent gas stations and oil depots on grounds of inflated fuel prices,” the statement says.

In early September, the FAS announced that regional authorities would check the validity of prices for small-scale wholesale sales of gasoline and diesel fuel, including for farmers. The agency had to analyze the pricing chain from purchase at the oil refinery to sale to the consumer.

So, at the end of last month, the service opened several administrative cases against companies in the Belgorod and Rostov regions, Krasnodar, Stavropol Territory, as well as in Dagestan.
In Russia from 21 September there is a temporary ban on the export of gasoline and diesel. The Ministry of Energy predicts that these measures will help curb the gray export of motor fuel, saturate the domestic market and further reduce the cost of petroleum products.
According to the latest data, prices for diesel in small wholesale have decreased by an average of 4.9 thousand rubles per ton. This trend was recorded in 81 regions of the country: depending on the type of fuel, prices fell from 500 to 15 thousand rubles per ton.
