MOSCOW, Oct. 5 Russian tennis player Alexander Shevchenko failed to make it through into the second round of the Masters series tournament in Shanghai, the prize fund of which is $8.8 million.
In the first round match, the Russian, ranked 84th in the ATP rankings, lost to Taiwanese representative Zeng Junxin (380) with a score of 6:3, 3:6, 2:6. The athletes spent 1 hour and 51 minutes on the court.
In the second round match, Zeng Junxin will play against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (31st seed).
