MOSCOW, Oct. 5 Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo did not agree on arbitration with his former club, the Italian Juventus, for the payment of the salary due to him during the pandemic, Football Italia reports, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It was previously reported that the football player wants to receive money that, by mutual agreement, was frozen during the quarantine and remained unpaid. We are talking about an amount of 19.9 million euros that was not taken into account in the financial statements.
According to the source, representatives of the club at a hearing of the arbitration council of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) on Wednesday said that Ronaldo cannot demand payments that were not formalized in an official agreement. The final verdict is expected within a month.
Ronaldo played for Juventus from 2018 to 2021. He currently represents the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nasr.
