MOSCOW, October 6 Trade turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan in the first seven months of this year increased in annual terms by 14.4%, imports grew by more than 30%, exports — more than 7%, according to information materials prepared by the Kremlin press service for the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev
«Russia ranks first among trading partners of Uzbekistan (18.6% of total foreign trade). In 2022, trade turnover increased by 26% and reached $8.7 billion, exports — $6.1 billion (+17.7%), imports — $2.6 billion (+51.3%),» the materials report.
«For seven months of this year, trade turnover exceeded $5.2 billion (+14.4%), including exports — more than $3.5 billion (+7.4%), imports — 1.7 billion dollars (+32.6%),” it is indicated there.

It is also noted that Russia is one of the key investors in the economy of Uzbekistan. The total investments of Russian companies are estimated at about 13 billion dollars. About 3 thousand companies with Russian capital operate in the republic; there are about 700 enterprises with Uzbek participation in Russia.

Mirziyoyev is in Russia on an official visit from October 5 to 7.
