MOSCOW, Oct. 7More than 20 metropolitan enterprises received special awards at the PromMOSCOW Awards, which took place as part of the Moscow Industry Month, said Vladimir Efimov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.
Leading confectionery manufacturers competed for the right to be called the best in 7 categories , medical, medicinal, construction, packaging, cosmetic and other products, the report says.
“Moscow is the center of Russian industry. Today, there are more than 4 thousand enterprises in the capital that provide jobs for over 720 thousand people. In their honor, Moscow Industry Day was established several years ago, and on October 7 we celebrate it 6 times already. This year we decided to celebrate the merits of Moscow manufacturers by organizing the PromMOSCOW Awards. More than 20 of the city's largest industrial enterprises received special awards in 7 categories,» said the vice mayor, quoted by the press service of the city economic policy complex.
Moscow producers show good results. From January to August 2023 alone, manufacturing output grew by 13.9% year-on-year. Capital enterprises supply Russian residents with the necessary products, export their goods to friendly countries, and also create unique modern products that contribute to the development of high-tech industries, the press service noted.
“Such awards allow us to once again celebrate the work of those who are behind the daily production of high-tech medicines, innovative solutions in the field of data transmission and microcircuits, cars and charging stations for electric vehicles, cosmetics, food and other products necessary for the life of a modern metropolis. «This time, the expert council assessed factories in 7 categories, in each of them 3 leading enterprises were identified. We hope that the award will become an annual tradition and the number of nominations and participating enterprises will grow,» the message quotes the words of the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital department investment and industrial policy of Vladislav Ovchinsky.
In particular, the winner in the “Efficient Industrial Complex” category was the manufacturer of copper rod and wire “Elkat”, whose products are in demand among the leaders of the Russian cable industry. The enterprise for the production of communication equipment «Biforcom Tech» was recognized as the most «effective resident of the SEZ». “The largest constructed industrial facility” was implemented by the Krost company, which built and put into operation an industrial technology park, the capacity of which allows the production of modern building materials, the press service added.
Leader in the category “Increase in labor productivity” became Parus Electro, which produces charging stations for electric cars. The Ochakovo plant won in the Export-Oriented Enterprise category. Over 12 months, the volume of exports of drinks from this manufacturer exceeded $27 million.
The most «Open industrial enterprise» was the Moscow ice cream factory Brand Ice (Brand Ice). It was assessed by the number of excursions held at the production site as part of the “Open #Mosprom” project — about 80 tours have been organized since the beginning of this year. The Moscow Refinery has become the most “Sports Industrial Enterprise” — for several years now the plant has been among the top three at the Mosprom Spartakiad, the press service reported.
The capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin previously spoke about how the month of industry passed in Moscow. Thus, from September 30 to October 31, the city hosts thematic excursions, quizzes, and photo exhibitions for residents.
